2 Law:: Bankruptcy Act; act of bankruptcy قانون وصيت Wills Act : In England : The Wills Act, 1837, permits of the disposition by will of every kind of interest in real and personal estate, and provides that all wills, whether of real or personal estate, shall be in writing signed at the foot or end thereof by the testator or by some person in his presence and by his direction, and shall be attested by two witnesses present together at the same time, and that such attestation shall be sufficient. JBS. [ In the U.S. : 1. Wills Act is synonymous with ‘Statute of Wills’, that is an English Statute (enacted in 1540) that established the right of persons to devise real property by will. 2. The Wills Act, 1837 of England. – Also termed (in this sense) Lord Longdale’s Act.
